Before the players are dismissed the coaches may take the opportunity to ask each player a few questions. The coaches will then evaluate the players based on their own criteria. After the try-outs the coaches draw for draft position. How is the draft organized? The draft for each division will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2009. Draft position is determined by the outcome of the Super bowl the previous season. The coach of the losing team will draft 1st and the coach of the winning team will draft 2nd. In the event we have enough players for a third team, the new team would draft 1st, then the loosing team from last season drafting 2nd and the winning team from last season drafting 3rd etc. Freshman Division will draft 3rd place, 2nd place 1st place. A player who is registered but cannot try-out on the designated date will be assigned to a team after all players who have tried out have been selected. The coaches will pick these players via a hat draw. The draft will be conducted in a
snake format, i.e. 1-2-3-4, 4-3-2-1, then 1-2-3-4, etc. The Head Coach’s son is taken in
the 3rd or 4th round determined by age no exceptions. Special requests for needs must be submitted to the CYFL Board in writing before the draft. Special requests will be considered, but not guaranteed. Trades will be allowed immediately
after the draft, during a specified period, with the coaches’ agreement. How will I know what team I am on? The Draft will be held on Sunday, July 19,
2009. Upon conclusion of the Draft, the coaches will call the
players to introduce themselves and set the date and time of the first practice. Who are the coaches?

football coaching and/or playing experience. Many of the coaches have coached in
the CYFL in the past. The coaches undergo a screening, evaluation process,

These efforts are critical as we are going to be outfitting our two (2) new football fields the county has provided for us. Fundraising What is the League Fundraiser this year?
